# Points

`<Points>` shows a title and a list of short points that appear one after the other. In Markdown, a
plain list does the same job.

## Live demo

<StoryEmbed slug="points" />

## Syntax

```md title="Markdown"
# Lorem ipsum
- Dolor sit amet
- Consectetur adipiscing elit
- Sed do eiusmod tempor
```

```mdx title="MDX"
<Points
  title="Lorem ipsum"
  items={[
    "Dolor sit amet",
    "Consectetur adipiscing elit",
    "Sed do eiusmod tempor",
  ]}
/>
```

## Attributes and props

| Prop        | Type       | Default | Description                   |
| ----------- | ---------- | ------- | ----------------------------- |
| `items`     | `string[]` | —       | Points to show (required)     |
| `title`     | `string`   | —       | Heading above the list        |
| `ordered`   | `boolean`  | `false` | Numbered list instead of dots |
| `className` | `string`   | —       | Extra CSS classes             |

Lists longer than the `maxBulletPoints` rule trigger a density warning.
